Ok let’s go back a few years to ‘All Day’ by William Murphy III.

I forgot how much I liked this CD. I put some songs on my phone and it all came back to my remembrance.

No Weapon - Fred Hammond

Just a word of encouragement.

One of the reasons I love music is that know matter how old a song may be if it is a great song you will continue to love it over time. One of the things I love about gospel music is that the love is still there but the spirit in the song will speak to current situations. That is amazing an old song speaking to new issues.

I was driving to work this morning and heard a song on XM Radio that I hadn't heard in a while. No Weapon by Fred Hammond and Radical For Christ.

No weapon formed against me shall prosper. No it won't work. God will do what He said He would do. He's not a man that He should lie He will come through. No weapon formed against me shall prosper. It won't work.

It touched me in a great way on this morning.

Maurette is a wonderful singer with a unique voice. Some of you may remember hearing her lead songs with Richard Smallwood. I have her three albums and it is amazing that she has continuity of spirit and quality in each CD.

“The Dream”

I have had this CD for a couple of years and it still is powerful!! I love the title track she begins by telling a story about her walk with Christ and her call to minister to God’s people. It really struck my heart because we are all called to be ‘witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.’

Sometimes it’s just so simple only to be concerned with your personal salvation and your relationship with Him that we forget to share Him or even pray for people and their souls. We are to intercede for others, even those we don’t know. The wonderful thing about the body of Christ when we obey the spirit of God we are living our lives for others and we also must remember that we are being lifted up by others as well.

Isn’t wonderful to know, that when you feel lonely and in despair, when times are hard, that someone somewhere is interceding on your behalf. They are praying the will of God for your life.

You ever had a sleepless night, or that feeling of trepidation where you are expecting something bad to happen, that is a call to pray. Pray for yourself, for your family, those you know and people you don’t know. Pray for understanding and to be led by the Spirit.

It is a beautiful concept. I am so glad that I belong in the body of Christ.

So take a listen to this Album and this testimony. It is a simple song with great meaning.

Remember to pray God hears and He answers prayer.

Is it being connected with people that support and believe in you? What ever it is, it's because of one person that these things or people have impacted your life. It is because of Jesus Christ. He knows what's best for you. Even in times of trouble and turmoil He is there to lead, guide and strengthen you. He will never leave you or forsake you. I am currently reading this book. Actually I am done reading the book I just have to finish going through the Scriptures that she provides and it's over half of the book. I love this book because she actually has a lot of proof and resource in the Word of God. This way you can do your own research, study and or meditation on the Word of God and not just someones opinion.

A Word of Encouragement - Joe Pace Presents - Worship for the Kingdom

I just wanted to make note of the message in the spoken word track on this CD track 6. This track is the conclusion of “Great is Thy Faithfulness” and introduces “It’s Time to Praise Him”

It states:

"...You know I discovered that is was in my own inconsistencies that I discovered the faithfulness of God. That is when we understand that God is not just being faithful but rather God IS faithful. Faithfulness is in fact, His attribute, His very character. It is who He is. It is when we are faced in difficult situations is when we discover the faithfulness of God. That’s when God places us in trying times to bring out the best in Him so that also He can bring out the best in you. Ok I’m still in love with “Love Unstoppable” This is Vintage Fred…

He draws you in with wonderful music then in the middle of the CD you are in tears because the lyrics are what you are living. Isn’t this the reason we fell in love with Commissioned from the beginning to new members to the reunion album. Commissioned is one of the few groups that sang about life about being saved and dependent upon God’s grace. They sang about experience the unconditional love of God and receiving it to give to someone else.

This is when you realize you are nothing with out God. You are but dust from the earth and to dust you will return. This is when you realize that you won’t be truly satisfied, happy or at peace until the perfect will of God is wrought in your life.

These are some of the best lyrics of all time…probably for me mostly because this has been my life for the last 2 years. How is that a beautiful, talented and anointed woman of God end up searching for what she already has? Well first comes the little foxes that say you are doing too much and it doesn’t talk all that to be saved or why aren’t you married? Or why you don’t have kids? Or you would be so far ahead if you would only…?

But I can’t blame them (I should not have taken my focus off my first love) only thank God that even these experiences will work out for my good because I love the Lord and I’m called according to His purpose and not my own. (see Romans 8:28)

Love Unstoppable

I know it’s been a long time. I have finally bought a CD that I believe is worthy of a review. Fred Hammond’s Love Unstoppable.

I haven’t had the CD 24 hours and I’m in love already. This is vintage Fred. I’m not talking about sound. It’s the love, passion, worship and the attention that is put in describing how he loves God, and how he worships Jesus in all His glory, His majestic reign and His sovereignty. Yes it has the beats and guitar. He performs with special guests but it’s still vintage Fred but you can feel the heart of the matter.

This CD consists of 15 tracks. I picked mine up at Target for $13.99 so it’s about .93 cents per track. My favorite today is “Find No Fault”. Second in line is “Happy”. Then “Best thing that ever happened”. Then “Take My Hand”.

Find No Fault is going to be the hottest new Praise and Worship song. The refrain is catchy and the progression into the calypso/island tempo is off the chain.
