Yarn Braids Part One

I started braiding my hair at 9:20am I worked until 10:50am. I have completed 3 rows on the left front and 1 row on the right front. My strategy is to twist the front then do the back top to bottom (If that makes sense).

I prepped my hair last night with Kimmaytube leave in and aloe gel. This morning I put on Sweet Nature by Eddie Wisdom Moisturizer and used Long Aid curl activator gel to twist.

I am using my homemade moisturizer spray to moisten the yarn. As I finish a section I spray the moisturizer on my scalp and the part of the braid that has my hair include then put oil on it (mixture of castor, grapeseed and olive oils).

I will update a lil later!!!

PS. Just like when I do my twists I started this side larger than I did on the right side but anyways I'm gonna go with it!!

I Found Inspiration

I Found Inspiration

I am inspired to pursue
I am inspired to continue
I am inspired to pick up the discarded

Not by perfection but by diligence and determination
By the potential and vision of a black man
Forgotten by some
Discarded by others
Underestimated and oppressed
But the black man that knows his potential and doesn’t hide from it
He embraces it
Chases it
And overcomes it
He is yet the hunter
But now hunts in the pursuit of his happiness in a land that they say is not his
Even though it was built with his back, blood, and tears
In you I found Inspiration
I am inspired by you THE BLACK MAN

Protective Styling - Yarn Braids

It is 1:35am I have prepped my hair and got my yarn cut and moisturized so I can do yarn braids. Yes YARN. I've been interested in them my whole natural journey and just got the moxie and patience to try them.

I cowashed with Bee Mine Avocado Cream Balancing Conditioner. I used my Kimmaytube Leave - In to moisturize then braided my hair insections and banded.

In the morning I will start the process. I will keep you all posted.

Is Shampoo really the "Devil"?

I use to cowash faithfully and avoided shampooing. Now I shampoo weekly with a sulfate free shampoo and use Ayurvedic Herbs or deep conditioner to treat my hair then moisturize and seal. I have found that this works great for my scalp, because my goal is to have a healthy scalp which will produce healthy hair.

Check the article link below to help sort out whats harsh and drying for your hair and what's safe. I found it very helpful.

Here I am, standing in the need of prayer (x2)

Spoken:
Father in the name of Jesus we come in agreement with you concerning your anointed vessels singing the anointed sound. We pray O God that this anointing o god will destroy the yokes in the lives of men and women, boys and girls everywhere. I pray that the Holy Spirit will hover over this sound and bring conviction to the hearts and minds of people o god causing them to know that Jesus Christ is the answer.
Jesus Christ is Lord to the Glory of God the father. Let it Go o god into the far reaching parts of this earth. And allow this sound to be heard to your glory in Jesus name.

Thank you for hearing our prayer, You heard us (x3)
You heard us
You heard us

Thank you for hearing our prayer You heard us (x3)
